San Francisco City, for the
Moscone Center Project and Solar Initiative Announcement:
In 2002, the city of San Francisco became the first in
the US to vote in and approve government spending on
renewable energy projects for city-owned buildings.
As the first project commenced, the city held a massive
announcement ceremony, accompanied by Mayor Brown, singer
Bonnie Raitt, and others. The branding
for this initiative and event which I designed (the
imagery of the city skyline and golden gate bridge against
a warm sunset) became an institution all over San Francisco.
Today, over 50 banners are still hanging around the city
as a reminder of the city's proactive attitudes towards
renewable energy. |
